Cybereason’s Sam Curry Named a Visiting Fellow by The National Security Institute

Cybereason, creators of the leading Cyber Defense Platform, today announced that Sam Curry, its Chief Security Officer, was recently named a Visiting Fellow by the National Security Institute at George Mason University’s Antonin Scalia Law School. Visiting Fellows hold senior positions in the private sector and academia.

Curry is a cybersecurity industry icon and for more than 25 years has distinguished himself by having deep technology experience. In 2019, Curry received SC Media’s “Visionary Award” for his contributions in shaping the cybersecurity industry.

Curry was previously CTO and CSO at Arbor Networks, SVP Engineering and CISO at Microstrategy, and he held a number of senior roles at RSA, the Security Division of EMC (GM, SVP Products and CTO). He has done work on national defense, public policy, and establishing standards and protocols in security. He has also held a number of senior leadership roles at McAfee and CA, in two successful startups, and is on three security organization boards. He is a frequent speaker with BBC, CNN, MSNBC and other media outlets, a published author, a highly patented inventor, and a widely quoted security expert. He contributes regularly as an industry expert and visionary to Forbes.com.
