Cybereason earns perfect scores in SC Magazine review

If security analysts need a product that offers an in-depth look into malicious endpoint activity, Cybereason is “an excellent tool” for that type of forensic investigation, SC Magazine said in its review of the platform.

The security news website praised the platform’s ability to connect multiple components of a security incident, noting that malicious activity usually includes several elements, not just one piece of malware. Details on all of these “elements are a necessary part of any forensic investigation,” the review said.

Out of the seven categories SC Magazine rates, Cybereason earned a perfect score in six of them: overall rating, value for money, documentation, performance, ease of use and features. In the remaining category, support, Cybereason earned 4.75 stars out of five stars.

SC Magazine called Cybereason’s discovery board, which shows what the endpoints are seeing, one the best it has seen. The review also said the platform “has as much value as an analysis tool as it does as an alerting tool” and praised how Cybereason gives analysts the ability to drill down into malicious activity that’s happening in an environment. For example, after drilling down into one malicious operation, SC Magazine was presented with “an excellent graphical map of unknown malware” that could be causing the malicious activity.

The review went on to say that Cybereason is “an evolving company with a product that is evolving with the threatscape,” calling this a good indicator of things to come since this type of behavior isn’t usually seen in products that deal with the “prosaic” endpoint security space.

And SC Magazine’s overall verdict? The Cybereason Detection & Response Platform is “is very much worth your consideration.”
