Own an IP camera? Use this online tool to learn if it's vulnerable to two zero-day exploits

The IP camera helping your office manager keep an eye on the supply closet or you watch your dog while you’re at work could have major security flaws. That’s according to a research report Cybereason released this week that discloses two zero-day flaws found in popular IP cameras sold on eBay and Amazon. Theoretically, attackers could exploit the flaws and use the camera as a pivot point onto the network that the device is connected as well as tap into the camera’s video and audio feeds.

Unfortunately, the affected devices can’t receive software patches. The only way to guarantee that a camera is safe from attackers attempting to exploit these vulnerabilities is to throw it out.

Use this Web widget Cybereason put together to quickly find out if your camera is vulnerable. To learn more about the issues surrounding Internet of Things security, read this blog post from Cybereason principal security researcher Amit Serper.
