COVID-19: Secure Business Continuity Outside of the IT Perimeter

Watch on Demand

ABOUT THE WEBINAR_

Concerns over COVID-19 are leading to a plummeting stock market, rampant misinformation, and cancelled conferences worldwide. Amplified by recommendations from the CDC to prepare for a COVID-19 outbreak, businesses are strongly considering mandatory remote work for their employees.

However, remote work, especially on a company-wide scale, presents a unique challenge for cybersecurity professionals. In information security, we have heard “the perimeter is dead” for years. Now is the time that we test that theory, as some companies look at completely closing physical access to buildings at scale in the coming weeks.

The IT perimeter definitely exists; we can point to firewalls and DMZs and a loose correlation in most companies between some types of digital assets and the physical boundaries of the company. But the notion that the perimeter can stop serious, advanced attacks has long been put to rest. The real test now is if the business can survive outside of the perimeter, immediately, and if so, how to secure it. Listen in for insights from Sam Curry on maintaining business continuity outside of the perimeter.

Why you’ll want to watch:

  • Identify and learn how to address the three problems any business must solve for handling X-demics.
  • Address the 6 considerations to secure a remote workforce.
  • Gain three actionable next steps you need to prepare for a company-wide remote work scenario.
