Cybereason’s CEO Named to Boston Business Journal’s ‘Power 50: Newsmakers’

Nov 13, 2017

Cybereason today announced that Lior Div, its CEO and co-founder, was named a 2017 Power 50: Newsmaker by the Boston Business Journal (BBJ).

Div is joined on the list by many of the biggest names in the Boston business community including Massachusetts Governor Charlie Baker; President and CEO of Boston Children’s Hospital, Sandra Fenwick; President and CEO Staples, Shira Goodman; Managing Partner, Governor & CEO Boston Celtics Wyc Grousbeck; Massachusetts Attorney General, Maura Healey and New England Patriots Owner Robert Kraft.

Div and other winners will be honored during an event at the Ritz-Carlton on November 15. A special publication highlighting the honorees will also be distributed in the November 17 print edition of the Boston Business Journal.

“There are few greater honors in Boston than to be named among the Power 50 and recognized alongside those who are making such a big mark on our booming business community and the region's overall economy,” said Div. “Boston is a national leader in cybersecurity innovation, and I’m thrilled to be acknowledged for helping to drive this momentum. Cybereason’s goal is to be an iconic global technology brand that will always call Boston home.”

Div and Cybereason have been recognized numerous times in recent years for individual and company-wide technology innovation. Div is a two-time finalist for EY’s prestigious New England Entrepreneur of the Year Award. Earlier this year, Cybereason announced a $100 million round of funding, the largest ever received by a cybersecurity company in Boston’s history according to BostInno. In fact, Cybereason has raised the two largest cyber funding rounds in Boston’s history and two of the three largest in Massachusetts history.

Cybereason is also the company at the helm of the SecureMA initiative, a coalition of Massachusetts non-profits, small businesses, law enforcement, and local government officials that are working together to raise the visibility and awareness of the cyber threats facing smaller organizations and individuals across the Commonwealth. The first SecureMA Intelligence Briefing took place on October 25 at Cybereason’s headquarters.
